Welcome Diana Faust, Director of Resource Development, to the Parliament Team
The Parliament of the World’s Religions welcomes Diana J. Faust as its Director of Resource Development, beginning June 1, 2017.
Ms. Faust comes to this new position for the Parliament with years of successful fund development, or as she would say, “a wealth of experience in helping people make meaningful connections with their greatest passions.”
After completing her undergraduate studies at Loras College in Iowa with a major in business and marketing, she earned a law degree at Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Diana makes of point of saying she practiced contract law, in distinction of being a litigator, because it allowed her to follow a calling to bring people together rather that set them against each other.
She determined, however, that service in the not-for-profit realm would better fulfill that calling and became Director of Development, and then Executive Director, of Franciscan Outreach, an agency providing services to persons who find themselves homeless in Chicago. Most recently she has been the Director of Development for the Great Lakes Region of Enterprise Community Partners, an organization that supports affordable housing providers in maximizing opportunities available to persons with limited income.
Her decision to join the Parliament staff was reached because it provides a way of uniting her deep interfaith spirituality and devotion as a Secular Franciscan with a strong commitment to working for justice, peacemaking, and environmental sustainability, along with advancing the causes of women, indigenous peoples, and the next generation of religious and civic leaders.
“We are extremely gratified to have Diana Faust join the Parliament team,” stated Executive Director Larry Greenfield. “She brings outstanding skills, a truly impressive record of attracting support to worthy causes, and a spirit that will contribute significantly to our expanding strategic vision and real-world impact of the Parliament.”
Diana says, “I am so excited to be joining the team at the Parliament. This work is very close to my heart because it resonates deeply with my conviction that people of good will can come together to make the world a better place. I am looking forward to reaching out to current and new supporters to help them participate in our cause.”
Diana brings a passion for experiencing other cultures that has taken her to 18 different countries in the company of her husband and family. In her free time, she also enjoys Salsa dancing, skiing, and being on the water wherever she can find it.
Please feel free to reach out, introduce yourself and welcome Diana Faust to the Parliament of the World’s Religions community at Diana@ParliamentOfReligions.org.
