Among Friends: Part 2 (From Toronto)

Pictured above are just some of the friends in Ontario, Canada who are ready to greet and treat you on November 1-7 for the seventh convening of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.

The photo was taken this past Monday when the Board of Trustees and Staff of the Parliament met with partners in Toronto to advance the plans for the event. Included were religious leaders from diverse traditions, civic and political leaders, scholars and activists, artists and folks from the professions and corporate world. Toronto is recognized by the United Nations as the most diverse city in the world. So, when you arrive for the Parliament, you’ll both feel right at home and ready to engage the whole world!

Who's attending?  Expected attendance will exceed 10,000 persons of faith and conscience from 80 nations and more than 200 unique spiritual backgrounds. The Parliament offers programming for all, from scholars and activists to families and children - lectures to interactive cultural experiences. Participants can be individuals whose profession or personal interests lead them to the Parliament or delegations from the guiding institutions like states, universities, or religious organizations. Our presenters include students, clergy, interfaith leaders, scholars, Nobel Laureates, city mayors, spiritual luminaries, best-selling authors, globally-recognized entertainers, thought leaders, state actors, and more.

Registration: Early Bird rates are now available for a limited time offering substantial savings for individuals, groups, students, or one-day attendees. Proposing a Program: The Parliament is looking for program ideas to inspire, inform, energize, connect and move attendees of the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions (in more than 500 sessions over seven days!) that will advance our collective mission of a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.  Presenters and applicants will receive access to reduced rate registration rates. The program submission period has been extended into April. To read and respond to the request for proposals, learn about program formats, submit to host a session within the program subthemes, and to view current program submission timelines, visit ParliamentOfReligions.org/RFP.  Final decisions on program review will be communicated by May 15, 2018

Exhibiting, Sponsoring and Advertising at the 2018 Parliament: Exhibitor, Sponsor, & Advertiser Opportunities are available here. Did you know that registration fees only cover about half the cost of producing the Parliament? Low registration fees enable more people to attend, but we need the support of sponsors, grantmakers, and donors. We invite individuals, groups, organizations and corporations aligned to (or interested in supporting) faith, interfaith, civic life, and critical issues and more to take a look at these opportunities to engage with our active and informed participants.  Early bird incentives are also extended for exhibition space bookings in March! Book by April 1 to save $300!
