Please Join Us for a Lecture and Dialogue on Laudato Si' - Care for Our Common Home

The St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Cathedral and Parliament of the World’s Religions invite you to attend a lecture and dialogue about caring for our common home with the Rev. Dr. Joshstrom Isaac Kureethadam, SDB, The Vatican’s Coordinator of the Sector on “Ecology and Creation” and author of The Ten Green Commandments of Laudato Si’.

Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ landmark Encyclical Letter on Care for Our Common Home, can be considered to offer a “paradigm shift” in our understanding of the contemporary ecological crisis. The ecological crisis is not just an “environmental” problem but an existential threat to the wellbeing of our common household, both human and nonhuman. Laudato Si’ offers us a holistic understanding of the ecological crisis, laying bare the physical, ethical and spiritual dimensions of the crisis. Pope Francis now calls us to respond to the complex ecological crisis through an integral approach, recognizing that everything is interconnected. Join us in a lecture and dialogue about how we will care for our common home.
