At the Parliament of the World’s Religions, we are alarmed by the decision of the President of the United States to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. We are distressed by the escalating tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that this decision is causing. We entreat all parties to engage in strategies that avoid further provocations, that give the highest regard for the value of every human life, and that envision a future of non-violence, reconciliation, and justice as the most effective route to peace.

We honor the committed and courageous justice builders and peacemakers on the ground, from all beliefs and communities, whose incredible work has shown us that this conflict need not perpetually tear us apart. To them we say: we are grateful for your solidarity with those who are voiceless and powerless. Despite the odds, you give us hope. With your actions, we believe that there can still be reconciliation, justice and peace -- a possibility rooted in the testimony and commandments of our religious traditions. You who promote and work for justice and peace continue to be an inspiration to us and to all those whose lives you touch.

Thanks for raising the issue that represents the great visions of “The Parliament of the World Religions” for the wellness of this contemporary world. The Jerusalem conflict is one of the most complicated issue in the history of humankind on Earth. Presently the world’s leadership and the leading religious instructors as well, are enthralled in the strictures of their own political and religious tradition, It is impossible for them to surrender their own religious and political profession to transcend their own faith to fill in the religious gaps that divide human perception.

What is the solution of Jerusalemm?

Raising the voice about the problem (without any solution in actual fact) stands for no mean. It is an act of pretending as ever.

In fact, the roots of the conflicts of Jerusalem are embroiled in the mazes of more than 3000 history. More than that, The sanctity of the Jerusalem had been ignored by most of the humankind that enthralled in mazes of several religious definitions, though there are lot of opportunities to expand the sanctity of Jerusalem as the basis for global peace, but is not impossible for the present world’s leadership to reach a unanimous conclusion regarding this complicated issue.

So as a member of this sacred parliament, it is my humble request to the Parliament, to come forward and help the world’s leadership and all leading religious instructors who thirst for a unanimous conclusion for global security I the current predicament of Nuclear proliferation, terrorism and war, within the context of the moral crisis in political ethics and religious conflicts. It is not good to blame an organization or leadership, which might help us to reach the solution without violence, on basis of solidarity and peace.

In fact, they can make Jerusalem a political Capital, not a religious Capital at all. So it is a prime liability of “The Parliament of the World Religion” to Prove the fact without disgracing the belief of a humankind, that the definitions of all the leading world religions are based on their contemporary needs, to help human being to evolve under natural process on basis of peace and solidarity, not to obtain the narcissus and terrestrial bliss among the rot of massacre.

It is simply possible and I believe The Parliament would pay their kind attention for proposal that specially designed to overcome the perils of religious conflicts worldwide. It is a small contribution by a voiceless and powerless to empower “The Parliament” according to the need of this contemporary world. Thank You.

Thank you for your statement on Jerusalem.

We opened this petition today on the basis of current events and the recognition that the union of peoples in a democratic federation is peace-building and peace-keeping:

Make Jerusalem the capital of peace!

Unfortunately, there is no English translation yet.

I ask for support.

Richard Maxheim

No Doubt Jerusalem can emerge as the capital of peace. We believe, instead making Jerusalem a political capital, make it a religious capital to perpetuate the global peace. It is the sanctity of Jerusalem, that holds the roots of the 3 world’s leading religious belief, but mostly ignored the believers as thrall of egoism in mazes of political and professional terrestrial issues. In fact, the definitions of all the leading world religions are based on their contemporary needs, to help human being to evolve under Natural process on basis of peace and solidarity, not to obtain the narcissus and terrestrial bliss among the rot of massacre.

Peace cannot be achieved through violence; it can only be attained through understanding . (Albert Einstein )

“More than ever before in human history, we share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together. And that … is why we have the United Nations.” ( Kofi Annan, the seventh Secretary – General of the United Nations, served from 1997 to 2006)

Let us empower the UN, according to the need of this contemporary world, or keep rushing on to an unnatural end.

Please join us to uproot the basis of the conflict, that disgracing the sanctity of Jerusalem worldwide.
