Chicago Vedanta Society to Host Swami Vivekananda Celebration Banquet

At the 1893 World’s Parliament of Religions, Swami Vivekananda addressed thousands of attendees and delivered a speech that cemented him as a key figure in what would become the global interfaith movement. 

This weekend, the Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago located in Homer Glen, IL is celebrating the concluding program of the 125 Years Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses as part of their Fall Banquet. The Vivekananda Vedanta Society is a branch of the Ramakrishna Order whose motto is For one's own liberation and for the welfare of the world.

When: Sunday, September 15th from 11 am - 3 pm

The program features Parliament Chair, Audrey Kitagawa, Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago President, Swami Ishatmananda, Northern Illinois University Professor, Dr. Dhiman Chakraborty, and Physicist, Dr. Durgaprasad Rajaram. Join Ms. Kitagawa for this special banquet and learn more regarding "Swami Vivekananda’s Enduring Legacy on the Global Interfaith Movement."
