In Memory of S. Kuldeep Singh

The Parliament of the World’s Religions mourns the passing of Kuldeep Singh on May 27, 2026.

He was a dedicated Trustee for the Parliament of the World’s Religions, an interfaith leader, and an advocate for understanding across religious traditions. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly to promote the Sikh faith, educate others about its values, and build meaningful relationships among diverse communities.

As a founding leader of the World Sikh Council, America Region, the Sikh Youth Alliance of North America, along with a Trustee of the Parliament of the World’s Religions, he embodied the Parliament’s mission to cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and to foster engagement for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

Kuldeep Singh’s work reflected the principles of the Global Ethic that have guided the Parliament since 1993: a commitment to human dignity, mutual respect, nonviolence, solidarity, truthfulness, and partnership among all people. Through education, dialogue, and service, he demonstrated that people of different faiths can work together while honoring their distinct traditions.

Throughout his years of service, he helped organize and lead Sikh religious services at numerous Parliament convenings, creating opportunities for participants from around the world to experience and learn from Sikh spiritual traditions. He also actively participated in discussions, panels, and educational programs, sharing Sikh perspectives and fostering greater understanding among diverse faith communities. His legacy will continue to inspire those committed to building bridges of understanding and advancing the common good across religious, cultural, and national boundaries.
