ADVERTISER ENROLLMENT TERMS
Purpose
The primary purpose of advertisements at the 2023 Parliament of the World's Religions is to develop and encourage interfaith knowledge and to be of value to the attendees. It is expected that all advertisements will be conducted in such a way as to conform to that purpose. The Parliament reserves the right to deny any advertisements if the Parliament feels the material is not in keeping with the objectives of the Parliament.
The Guiding Principles of the 2023 Parliament are: (1) respectful dialogue: we listen and speak with respect (2) non-proselytizing: we do not attempt to convert others or speak derogatorily about any tradition (3) willingness to explore a wide variety of topics: we embody compassion as we engage in difficult conversations
Ownership and Use of Logos and Trademark
Advertiser agrees it is not authorized or permitted to use the trademarks or logos for the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions or corresponding logo designs. In any and all actions surrounding the Event, Advertiser agrees that any lawful use of Parliament’s trademarks shall be made solely in plain text and solely in purely factual and accurate statements regarding the cooperation and relationship of Advertister with the Parliament. Under no circumstances will Advertiser falsely state or imply any affiliation or partnership with the Parliament where no such relationship exists. Parliament will refuse access to the Event (and related materials and promotional activity) to any Advertiserr violating the above requirements. We encourage Advertiser to use #2023PoWR to promote the event.
Expense Responsibility
Advertiser and/or their representatives agree that any charge incurred that is not covered in your advertisement package will be the sole responsibility of the Advertiser and all bills must be paid prior to departure from the McCormick Place Lakeside Center.
Terms of Cancellation
There will be no refunds, and balance for all space contracted must be paid in full. Unpaid balance is due at the time of cancellation. If because of war, fire, strike, government regulation, public catastrophe, Act of God, or the public enemy or other cause beyond the control of the Parliament, the event or any part thereof is prevented from being held or is canceled by the Parliament, the Parliament shall have no liability to the Advertiser.
Publicity
Advertiser will not issue any press release regarding any of the terms and conditions without the express prior written consent of the Parliament of World’s Religions.
Applicable Laws and Approvals
Advertiser shall abide by and observe all laws, rules regulations and ordinances of any applicable government authority. The Parliament reserves the right to approve all prospective advertisements. The Parliament does not guarantee specific volumes or levels of attendance. Advertiser shall not be entitled to any refund, in full or in part based on attendance level(s). Advertiser agrees to receive Parliament's newsletters and emails containing updates and promotional material regarding the 2023 Parliament of the World's Religions. To withdraw consent, please select unsubscribe in the email or contact the Parliament directly.
Representations
Advertiser and the Parliament will each warrant and represent that (i) their execution and performance of these terms or any resulting agreement does not violate, conflict with, or result in a material default under any other contract or agreement to which it is a party, or by which it is bound; (ii) it has the right and authority to enter into this agreement; and (iii) it will comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Disclaimer of Liability; Insurance
A. THE PARLIAMENT AND ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR, AND THEY ARE HEREBY RELEASED FROM LIABILITY FOR, ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, HARM OR INJURY TO THE PERSON OR PROPERTY OF THE ADVERTISER OR ANY OF ITS VISITORS, OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES, RESULTING FROM THEFT, FIRE, WATER OR ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER CAUSE.
B. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ADVERTISER TO MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ITS PROPERTY AND LIABILITY.
Additional Terms
Any matters and questions not covered by the Terms and Conditions are subject to the decision of The Parliament. The Parliament may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. All amendments made shall be equally binding on all parties affected by them, as are the original regulations.
