Parliament Joins the 68th UN Civil Society Conference in Salt Lake City, USA

The host of the 2015 Parliament of the World's Religions Utah, USA welcomed the 68th Annual United Nations Civil Society Conference from Monday, August 26th to Wednesday, August 28th. This marks the first time the UN conference has been hosted in the continental United States outside of New York City, the home of the United Nations.

The Parliament of the World’s Religions joined representatives of civil society from around the world, and senior UN officials, to discuss a wide range of solutions to the challenges of urban life and the modern world.

Religions for Peace Conference Closes with Critical Action Points

As previously reported, the Parliament of the World's Religions joined the historic 10th World Assembly of Religions for Peace in an ongoing effort to foster greater collaboration between interfaith networks.

The conference closed on Friday, August 23rd with a newly selected Secretary General, Parliament keynote and interfaith colleague, Azza Karam and the adoption of five critical action points.

In Memoriam: Rabbi Dr. Peter Knobel

The Parliament of the World's Religions is saddened to learn of the passing of Parliament Trustee Emeritus, Rabbi Dr. Peter Knobel and extends his wife Elaine, his children and grandchildren, family, friends, colleagues, and congregants heartfelt condolences for this immense loss.
