126 years ago on September 11, 1893 at the Chicago World's Fair, diverse religious and spiritual leaders from around the world came together to share their perspectives and engage in interreligious dialogue. The 1893 Parliament proved to be a historic first and gave birth to a dynamic global interfaith movement.
Today, the Parliament of the World's Religions marks the birth of the global interfaith movement and celebrate 126 years of commitment from interfaith activists around the world. In the past 126 years, interfaith activists from around the world have led and energized the movement. Committing to the values of peace, justice, sustainability, and most importantly, interfaith cooperation that emerged at the 1893 Parliament. |
