Nuclear Prayer Day 2022
August 6th marked the 77th anniversary of the first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Voices for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons (URI) in partnership with the Parliament of the World’s Religions, UNIFY, Religions for Peace International, Charter for Compassion, SINE Network, UNITY Earth, the Global Security Institute, Pathways to Peace, International Academy for Multicultural Cooperation, May Peace Prevail on Earth, and SGI Office for UN Affairs hosted the first annual Nuclear Prayer Day.
The service asked participants to, “…be part of culminating the first ever global mass meditation aimed at Prayer and Meditation for Nuclear Disarmament for our Whole Planet. Collectively we are raising consciousness and increasing caring about planetary stewardship and unconditional love.”
The inaugural Nuclear Prayer Day was streamed LIVE via Facebook.
