Building a More Just, Peaceful, Sustainable Future

Planned giving offers a number of ways you can contribute to the sustainability of the Parliament in the long-term. We encourage you to consult with your financial advisor to discuss the tax implications of these options.

Life Income Gifts

Life income gifts allow you to leave a gift in the care of the Parliament of the World’s Religions, while earning income for yourself during your lifetime. The two most popular life income gifts are charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities.

Complex Gifts

If you are a business owner, own real property or have any other type of complex asset, giving options exist that can both help the Parliament of the World’s Religions and benefit your family financially.

To include us in your plans, please write “The Parliament of the World’s Religions, a nonprofit organization located at 70 East Lake Street, Suite 230, Chicago, IL 60601, Federal Tax ID #36-3605228, for the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions’ general use and purpose.” We do not provide tax advice but encourage you to consult your tax professional. Please let us know you have included us in your plans so we can recognize your gift and inspire others to give as well.

The Parliament’s work of cultivating harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and fostering their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions to address the critical issues of our time is an ongoing mission. A legacy gift ensures that the Parliament will be around years from now to fulfill our vision of a world of peace, justice, and sustainability.
