Coupling Religious Diversity and Wellness on a Public Campus: The University of Saskatchewan’s Faith Leaders’ Council Approach

711
Description:
This mutual learning-oriented workshop maps select opportunities and challenges of establishing a Faith Leaders’ Council on a public campus—an initiative stemming from the University of Saskatchewan’s commitments to internationalization, indigenization, diversity, equality, community, and healthy work and learning environments. From a pool of community nominees, members were selected via interviews conducted by this workshop’s hosts who (1) also serve on the council, (2) identify with humanist, Eastern, and Western faith traditions, and (3) approach diversities in the spirit of a global ethic. This workshop will foster co-constructed insights that can be employed to promote multiple expressions of campus-wide wellness.
