Major religions speak to loving our enemies. Rarely, though, are we taught how. This workshop will dive into how different religions address this challenge. Participants will first examine how enemies call something out in ourselves. They will then be introduced to spiritual practices that encourage engagement with “the other” with compassion and understanding. Participants will grow in understanding that love does not mean accepting or excusing another’s behavior nor does it mean not holding each other accountable, but instead it means acting in radically new ways to connect to those who we think are opposing us.
