Lessons of Peace from Haudenosaunee History

The speaker will address the concept of the Good Mind (Ganigonhi:yoh) how it is a way to be responsible for our own actions, and words. She will speak of the lesson in Haudenosaunee History of how healing is often necessary to maintain Peace. Historically, first with the story of Hiawentah, and more recently in history with our recovery from the boarding school era. This is an example of healing that interrupted cycles of violence allowing those who healed and recovered to be peaceful once again.
