Hope After Crisis: Emerging Patterns in Muslim, Jewish, Baha’i, and Christian Congregations

Session Description:

The past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic have been a collective trauma for the nation’s religious communities. It is clear that congregations of all faiths and traditions have been affected but the long-term implications of this event are still unfolding. Drawing on two multi-year studies, a group of researchers from multiple faith traditions explores the patterns within their congregations and comparatively with other faith groups. The session draws upon the 20-year Faith Communities Today study and the recent 5-year study, Exploring the Pandemic Impact on Congregations. Researchers from the Muslim, Jewish, Baha’i, and Christian traditions discuss the patterns within their faith communities and collectively address the comparisons between faith groups.
