Youth and Interfaith Peacebuilding – Practices and Examples from Around the World
Session Description:
The session addresses youth endeavors in interfaith peacebuilding while showcasing practices from various parts of the world. Presenters are all members of the Religions for Peace International Youth Committee (IYC) and are all working within the context of interreligious collaboration and peacebuilding – from conflict to post-conflict societies. During the session, Religions for Peace IYC members present concrete actions and work they have been doing in their respective communities to contribute to interfaith dialogue and peace at large. They share the best practices they have learned in relation to the work they do and how they overcame the challenges faced. They also pay special attention to the necessity of involving youth in interreligious collaborative efforts and peacebuilding processes with an emphasis on intergenerational cooperation.
