The Parade of Faiths is a pre-Parliament event that celebrates Chicago’s rich diversity with a parade of music, dance, and celebration open to the public the afternoon before the opening of the 9th Convening of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.
Chicago holds the distinction of hosting the 1893 World Parliament of Religions, which was the landmark birthplace of the modern interfaith movement. At the Parade, local faith, spiritual, and cultural communities share floats and displays of dance and movement highlighting their history, legacy, and diversity.
