Certificate in Indigenous Cultural Awareness (ICA)

The Certificate in Indigenous Cultural Awareness(ICA) is a one-day accredited certification offered by the Parliament’s Indigenous Working Group and First Nations Technical Institute (FNTI). Available daily from November 2-6 at the Lodge of Nations, the certificate program provides a wide-ranging and informative primer into Indigenous peoples of the world, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit people in Canada.

Participants attend and complete a minimum of eight (8) hours in the Indigenous Peoples’ Program of the Parliament of the World’s Religions and complete an attestation that they attended and understood the material presented after each session. The program will feature teachers, traditional Indigenous knowledge holders and Faith Keepers from many nations, and over 60 workshops, feature panels, presentations, film screenings and other content-specific sessions to choose from.
