17th World Summit to Gather in Yucatan, Mexico

From September 19 through September 22, Nobel Peace Laureates will gather for the 17th World Summit in Yucatan, Mexico. The World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates is the most inspirational and largest annual event in the field of peacemaking. The Summit features panel discussions among Nobel peace Laureates and representatives of the leading international organizations, media, business and government in open forums and gives the opportunity for group and individual meetings with high-profile leaders from around the globe.
The three-day event will feature panels on the role of women in peace, the role of peace in battling hunger, the role of social media in peacemaking, and a number of other critical themes. Among these critical themes is a discussion on nuclear disarmament moderated by Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute and Ambassador for Peace, Security and Nuclear Disarmament of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.
