2022 Annual Report

In 2022 the Parliament of the World’s Religions shared its call to conscience; working with individuals, communities, and institutions around the world to build up for the world’s premier interfaith convening, its 9th Parliament of the World’s Religions.

The 2022 Annual Report spotlights “The PoWR of Community” through an organizational overview of the critical work of PoWR’s task forces, working groups, committees, volunteers, and trustees in the advancement of the organization’s mission and the success of the 2023 Parliament Convening in Chicago, USA.

Land Acknowledgment

The Parliament of the World's Religions acknowledges it is situated on the traditional homelands of the Bodéwadmik (Potawatomi), Hoocąk (Winnebago/Ho’Chunk), Jiwere (Otoe), Nutachi (Missouria), and Baxoje (Iowas); Kiash Matchitiwuk (Menominee); Meshkwahkîha (Meskwaki); Asâkîwaki (Sauk); Myaamiaki (Miami), Waayaahtanwaki (Wea), and Peeyankihšiaki (Piankashaw); Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo); Inoka (Illini Confederacy); Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe), and Odawak (Odawa).

PoWR recognizes the region we now call Chicago remains home to a diversity of Indigenous peoples today and this land upon which we walk, live, and play continues to be Indigenous land.
