December 4, 2017

Parliament Ambassador Peggy Price hosted the Pathways to PoWR pre-Parliament event on September 29th, 2017. Hosted in Lihue, Hawaii by the Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai.
With 20 people in attendance at the meeting, Peggy honed in on the 2018 Parliament Theme “The Promise of Inclusion, the Power of Love: Pursuing Global Understanding, Reconciliation, and Change”. The presentation began with a brief introduction to the history of the Parliament and the showing of an official Parliament video that addresses the history in more detail.
A member of the Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai spoke about his experiences at the 1993 Chicago Parliament and the South African Parliament, followed by Peggy, who shared her experiences and impressions of the Melbourne and Salt Lake Parliament.
The discussion was followed up by a Q and A, and a lively conversation followed.
