Interfaith Award Presented to Parliament Chair on World Yoga Day Celebration

On Thursday, June 20th Parliament chair, Audrey Kitagawa, joined interfaith leaders from around the world to celebrate the 26th Annual World Yoga Festival in observance of the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations.
The celebration also marked the official presentation of the World Yoga Community, Inc.’s Interfaith Awards, presented in recognition and grateful appreciation for outstanding service and dedication for the human values that bring global culture of peace and universal spirituality. The award bestows the title of “Lotus of World Peace” to the award winners on behalf of the Board of Directors of the World Yoga Community.
Award winners include HH Acharya Dr Lokesh and Devadasan Nair the Consul for the Community Relations of the Indian Consulate.
