Southeast Asian Symposium

Southeast Asia at the #2021PoWR

The first Southeast Asia Regional Symposium will be hosted at the upcoming 2021 Parliament of the World’s Religions, with patronage from the Tzu Chi Foundation. The Symposium, accessible to all 2021 Parliament registrants, will be hosted on Sunday, October 17th from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Central Time (GMT +8).

Inspired by the theme of the Convening, "Opening our hearts to the world: Compassion in Action", the Symposium will highlight COVID-19 impacted interfaith religious partners, from all walks of lives, leaders, scholars, vulnerable residents, and natives. And feature arts inspired by climate changes, violin to sutra performance, chanting to prayers.

COVID-19 brings interfaith South East Asia closer together to engage SDG17, partnership capacity building. Through the concepts of hope, inspiration, grief, and action; various panel discussions and dialogue opportunities allow regional representatives to engage and to support various workstream and Parliament directives.
