Congressman Bobby Rush represented a district on the South Side of Chicago in the US House of Representatives from 1992 until his retirement in 2022. A civil rights activist starting in the 1960s, he co-founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party.

He serves as a trustee of PoWR and the 2023 Chicago Host Committee Chair.
