Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen M.D.

Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D. is a psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and the author of thirteen influential books in over ninety foreign editions, including Goddesses in Everywoman, Gods in Everyman, Crossing to Avalon, Close to the Bone, and The Millionth Circle. She is internationally known as an advocate for women’s circles with a sacred center and her advocacy for a UN Fifth World Conference on Women (5WCW.org). She is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a former Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, University of California Medical Center, San Francisco. (jeanshinodabolen.org)
