Karma Lekshe Tsomo, Ph.D. is Professor Emerita at the University of San Diego. Her scholarly interests include Buddhist social ethics, women in Buddhism, death and dying, and Buddhist transnationalism. She has published many books and articles, including Women in Buddhist Traditions (2020) and Into the Jaws of Yama: Buddhism, Bioethics, and Death (2006).
