Common Ground: An Interfaith Labyrinth Journey

Session Description:

The Common Ground Labyrinth is an interactive journey through sacred space and time. Created with masking tape and ribbon, a 45’ circle is consecrated through ceremony. An evolving two-dimensional labyrinth invites people on a path for reflection and connection. Symbols of world religions surround a center circle where participants pause for insight and integration. Facilitators, musicians, and artists welcome, orient, and hold space for attendees including daily rituals and group walks. Labyrinths are an open-source archetype for connecting with one’s self, environment, and community. With the stress and uncertainty of our time, many are turning to this spiritual practice in search of healing and transformation. Labyrinths are used to practice mindfulness, navigate life transitions, cultivate peace and hear our own inner wisdom. Found in churches, schools, hospitals, and public parks, labyrinths offer a metaphorical journey for people from all walks of life.
