UN Multifaith Advisory Council Hosts Global Observance of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations
On Tuesday, September 8th the Parliament of the World’s Religions joined ambassadors, UN officials, members of the UN interagency Task Force, and fellow members of the UN Multi-faith Advisory Council to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations. The event entitled Faith in the UN: Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations and looking to the future.
The event featured the participation of United Nations Multifaith Advisory Council Co-Chair, Gopal Patel; Parliament Chair, Audrey Kitagawa; Religions for Peace General Secretary, Azza Karam; and other global leaders of the faith and interfaith community.
The event also featured the premiere of a commemorative video highlighting the critical role of communities of faith in the development work of the United Nations.
