Diana began her work in the non-profit sector at Franciscan Outreach, an organization that provides shelter, food, and social services for persons who find themselves homeless, where she served first as Director of Development and then as Executive Director. She then became the Director of Development for Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland at Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit that connects people to opportunity through affordable housing. Non-profit work is her second career, having practiced law as a transactional attorney, where she enjoyed bringing people together to accomplish mutual goals. Diana holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. As a member of the Secular Franciscan Order, the lay person’s branch of the worldwide Franciscan Order in the Catholic Church, she is happy that her day-to-day work lets her help the Parliament and its members promote peace, interfaith dialog, and care for creation.
