Friday, February 8th - The Parliament of the World's Religions hosted an "Interfaith Breakfast Celebrating World Interfaith Harmony Week" celebrating organizations and individuals dedicated to fostering interfaith harmony in the Chicagoland area.
Nisan Chavkin, Executive Director of Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago, joined us as part of the "Chicagoland Interfaith Harmony in Action" panel to share the work of the organization. The Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago is composed of chief leaders of the Greater Chicago faith communities. The churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and interfaith bodies represented around the Council's table embrace nearly four million men, women and children. Its seminaries prepare clergy and leaders for service in the Greater Chicago area and throughout the world.
This event was made possible through the support of a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. The opinions expressed during these presentations are those of the presenter(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the John Templeton Foundation.
