Share the Call! Host a Pre-Parliament Event for Your Network

December 27, 2022

Join us in answering the call to conscience at the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions. From now until August 2023, the Parliament of the World’s Religions invites local religious, spiritual, and civic organizations to become hosts for local pre-Parliament events. These events help PoWR build capacity through direct outreach to your communities and networks.

What is the purpose of a pre-Parliament Event?

The purpose of these events are to serve as an organizing focus for local interreligious efforts by offering a “taste if the Parliament experience” and invite them to engage with the Parliament to create concrete commitments to action through participation in Parliament Convenings and ongoing programming.

Hosting a faith or interfaith event for your community? Observing UN World Interfaith Harmony Week? Exploring themes of freedom, human rights, or democracy in a secular program? You can make your planned event an official pre-Parliament event! Submit your event for consideration and explore how you can share the call to conscience with your attendees.

Are you interested in hosting but not sure where to start? We have a dedicated toolkit and resources available for organizers.
