From Dialogue to Action | Parliament Chair & Conference Presenter Join 2019 URI Conference
Interfaith dialogue is a vital first step for many people involved in the global interfaith movement but organizations and conferences around the world are increasingly challenging themselves and their stakeholders to move beyond just dialogue and into concrete action.
The United Religions Initiative conference Accelerate Peace: Interfaith Action and Global Peacebuilding is a great example of this. The two-day conference is being hosted on Wednesday, June 26th and Thursday, June 27th at the Hoover Institution, David and Joan Traitel Building, Stanford University Campus. According to the conference organizers, participants will develop a deeper understanding of interfaith efforts towards global peace-building and consider targeted action steps to be undertaken locally and globally.
The conference will feature two innovative women, well-known to the Parliament audience and within the interfaith movement, who will be addressing the importance of interfaith action in order to accelerate peace.
