World Yoga Festival 2019

Join Parliament Chair, Audrey Kitagawa at the 26th Annual “WORLD YOGA FESTIVAL” hosted on Thursday, June 20th at Tillman Chapel, The Church Center for the United Nations from 1 pm – 3 pm.
She will be offering an interfaith prayer at the event and will be receiving the”Interfaith Leadership Award Lotus of World Peace” for her work and leadership in the global interfaith movement.
Hosted by the World Yoga Community Inc., a not-for-profit charitable organization with (501(c)(3) with tax-exempt status and an NGO Associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, the 2019 World Yoga Festival marks the 20th annual summit of this event hosted in New York City and the 5th annual celebration of International Day of Yoga. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. On 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga by resolution 69/131.
