Energy News recently profiled Eric Goplerud, founder and board chair of Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions (FACS). Based in Virginia, the group’s latest initiative is Fairfax to Zero, which provides a blueprint for emissions neutrality in Fairfax County by at least 2050. Cape Town Interfaith Initiative hosted 7 Sacred Days in Cape Town, a week-long tour of community engagement in observance of the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week. Around 30 representatives and leaders from diverse religious traditions gathered for this packed week-long pilgrimage.

The Parliament hosted the Chicago Interfaith Fair: Our City, Our History, Our Movement on Thursday, February 6 in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week. The fair was a special celebration of the city, its interfaith history and the critical role it has played in the global interfaith movement.

World Interfaith Harmony Week is celebrated by organizers all around the world, across cities, countries, and for one of our grassroots partners, at sea. On February 25 through February 27, Multi-Faith & Belief Student Council at Colorado State University and the Fort Collins Interfaith Council are co-sponsor a WIHW week on the current voyage of Semester at Sea entitled, Navigating Interfaith Waters.
