Parliament Trustee and one of Canada’s two young representatives at the pre-conference youth event in Milan, Kehkashan Basu joined CBC Morning Live (Canada’s National News Channel) on November 1st to discuss Canada’s role at COP26.
The COP26 summit brings parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Ms. Basu believes that, “COP26 or any of the other UN Conferences is not a place to just criticize governments – it is a place to discuss and have meaningful dialogues to build forward better. That is why I spoke about how Canada can expand on its leadership role for climate justice at COP26 and beyond.”
