June PoWR Member Spotlight: GMU President Gerald Grudzen
Gerald Grudzen is a Roman Catholic who serves as President of a global interfaith organization, Global Ministries University. GMU provides interfaith training and theological degrees for students in the US, Africa, India, and Europe. He believes that “interfaith education is vital to the creation of a peaceful and sustainable global community.“
Being an active PoWR Member is important to Grudzen because it gives GMU “an opportunity to interact with other providers of interfaith education and training.” Similarly, a best practice he would like to share involves networking with other interfaith organizations, as it is “key to the growth of our movement.”
Grudzen advances the Parliament’s work by working extensively with interfaith organizations in the US, Africa, Europe, and India. Every other year, they co-sponsor a global, interfaith conference with over 2,400 participants from the US, Europe, Africa, India and Indonesia. The proceedings of the 2021 and 2023 conferences are available via the GMU website. You can also find Grudzen at this year’s Parliament Convening.
