130 Years of Global Interfaith Dialogue: Global Affairs and World Religions Literacies
Session Description:
Following Richard Haass’ New York Times Bestseller “The World: A Brief Introduction” as a global affairs framework, through participant brainstorming and discussions, this session explores the importance of global education in understanding the role that religion plays or could potentially play in areas such as globalization, terrorism, nuclear proliferation, climate change, migration, the internet, global health, trade and investment, monetary policy, and development. It also explores the role PoWR has had in making this connection between global affairs and global religions over the past thirty years and the place of its signature document, the Global Ethic, in such a pursuit.
