A Divine Perspective on Human Rights from the Viewpoint of Imam Sajjad

Session Description:

Imam Sajjad is the fourth successor of the Prophet of Islam, according to the Shia school of thought. He has a detailed commentary on the “Treaties of Rights” which contains references from the Qu’ran and narrations from Prophet Muhammad and other infallible Imams. Although the original version of the “Treaties of Rights” is in Arabic, it has been translated into English and several other languages. The “Treaties of Rights” is a master document on Islamic human rights, which covers not only human rights but also includes the rights of God, as well as the rights of our body parts and our deeds. This session describes not only human rights but also the rights of family members toward each other, the rights of different body parts within the human body, and the rights of God toward human beings and vice versa.
