An Interfaith Celebration for Animals

Presented by the Compassion Consortium, with the Interfaith Vegan Coalition and the Animal Interfaith Alliance, this “Interfaith Celebration for Animals” is an immersive liturgical experience designed to reflect on our relationships with the diverse species with whom we share the planet. There are prayers, meditations, and sacred readings from the world’s religions and wisdom traditions that highlight the human-animal bond throughout a wide range of cultures and religions. It concludes with a powerful prayer visioning a peaceful world where people of all faiths and philosophies work together to treat humans, animals, and habitats with respect and compassion, and where the Golden Rule is extended to include all sentient beings.
