And Muhammad Is His Messenger: The Veneration of the Prophet in Islamic Piety via Poetry

The love and veneration of the Holy Prophet Muhammed in the global Muslim community across time and space are necessary to fully understand Muslim piety. The great Asian poet-philosopher Allama Muhammed Iqbal observed that the love of the Holy Prophet is like blood in the veins of the Muslims. This session seeks to explore experientially the Love and Veneration of the Prophet Muhammed by the Muslim faithful through the language of love and poetry, as chanted in various languages by renowned religious performers.
