Care For Creation Ecumenical Declaration Signing Ceremony

Ecumenism Metro Chicago (EMC) was formed in 1999 to pray and prepare for the Third Christian Millennium and is comprised of 19 Christian Churches within the Metropolitan Chicago area. In addition to sponsoring the annual Ecumenical Prayer Service observed as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the committee serves as a forum for ecumenical dialogue, understanding, hospitality and information in the Chicagoland area. Included in EMC’s forum of dialogues is Chicagoland Christians United for the Care of Creation (4C) whose purpose is to convert hearts to care, preserve, protect and advocate for our common home, Earth. To advance this purpose, EMC members come together during the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions to sign a joint declaration to care for our common home. All Parliament participants are invited to witness this declaration signing ceremony. We cordially invite you to join us!
