Dichotomy of Identity

Session Description:

The dichotomy of identity is a complex and multifaceted concept. We often talk about how different aspects of our identities can intersect to create a singular, unified self. In this discussion, we explore the idea of identity as both an individual expression and a collective experience. We discuss how identity is shaped by our personal experiences, culture, and social environment and explore the relationship between the individual experience and the greater whole. Presenters explore the relationship between Islam and “The West” and what it means to be an Arab Jew.
