Liberation in the world begins with a liberation within—a realization that so often we are more than we have been told. While modern societies may have led folks to believe that gender nonbinary identities are somehow new and based on theory or ideology, gender beyond the binary has a deep grounding in divine cosmologies and spiritual experiences across the world and from time immemorial.
