Guru Granth Sahib Ji: The Present Eternal Guru of the Sikh Community
Session Description:
It is the considered opinion of most of the devotees of Guru Granth Sahib that its Shabads (Hymns) should be recited in the same Raags in which they are written in Guru Granth Sahib. The Sikh Gurus have assigned the most befitting Raagas to the Shabads (Hymns) that were revealed to them by Waheguru (God). Presenters go through the significance of each of the thirty-one Raags that are used in Guru Granth Sahib and elaborate on the importance of tunes that are recommended for singing certain compositions and explain various Shabads by singing them in the recommended Raagas.
