Healing Humanity’s Broken Heart

Melinda Gates once said, “How can we summon a moment of lift for human beings—and especially for women’ Because when you lift-up women, you lift-up humanity…And how can we create a moment of lift in human hearts so that we all want to lift-up women? Because sometimes all that’s needed to lift women up is to stop pulling them down.” Symbols transcend cultures and express the language of the heart and of the Spirit. Through multicultural & multifaith symbols, colors and pattern, I hope to further efforts to cultivate global harmony and foment productive discourse between people and their institutions, particularly religious, resulting in interfaith understanding and positive change for women and girls. Through images, my work can hopefully spark an examination of religious & cultural fears & hatreds, with an emphasis on those that obstruct women and girls from assuming their rightful place in the world.
