How Big Is Our God?
Session Description:
Recent scientific discoveries have revealed that our universe has vast numbers of planets, many Earth-like, and that the requirements for life (as we know it) such as liquid water, carbon and other elements, and useable energy, are all commonplace throughout the galaxy. The physical and chemical laws that lead to such a universe are themselves built into the fabric of reality, and thus appear to be set at the beginning of time. Our universe appears to set the stage for organic chemistry on a nearly incomprehensible number of planets. What do these scientific discoveries say about our notions of God?
