How Can We, the People, Reclaim Our Freedom? | Part 2

Session Description:

The main theme of this Parliament Convening invites reflection on two questions: What does “freedom” really mean? What can ordinary people like us do to reclaim freedom? In this moderated session, interfaith panelists present their reflections on these questions by presenting an understanding of what freedom really means based on the teachings of our various faith traditions, prophets, and philosophers; how are we shaped and inspired by our faiths to truly let not only our own selves live with freedom, but also enable others to live with freedom; and challenging the despairing attitude that laity like us can do very little to reclaim our freedom from the enormous forces arrayed against us. Presenters share what collectively, people of all faiths can do together, and how to bring our world to that ideal state of existence in which everyone is truly free because until each and every creation is free, no one is free.
