Doing lunch . . . An invitation hard to refuse. Because taking a noon break and enjoying tasty food makes everyone’s afternoon go a bit smoother. But, for some, the lunch table stands empty, day after hungry day. The hands-on session, “Let’s Do Lunch: An Invitation to Food Equity for a Hungry World,” tackles the disparities baked into food opportunities evident not only next door but also around the world. Participants are invited to sit down at very different lunch tables and to work out just, peaceful, and sustainable ways to provide food for all people everywhere.
