Liberating Love: A Mystical Interfaith Service

To worship means to love—to love the Divine with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. The mystics of all traditions teach this amazing love. The great 20th-century mystic, Howard Thurman, said, “Love is the experience of being dealt with at a point in oneself that is beyond all the good and beyond all the evil. To love is to deal with another person at a point in him that is beyond all the good and beyond all the evil.” This is a Liberating Love of the heart where we see ourselves and the other without filters and judgments and enables us to build “The Beloved Community.” Delve into the mystery of this Liberating Love through music, sacred writings, poetry, and prayer in this interfaith worship experience hosted by The Interfaith Temple and The New Seminary.
