Live Art Creation throughout the Parliament
Session Description:
Deborah creates spontaneous drawings that reflect the themes of the major plenary presentations, musical performances, and sacred practices. Using the process of ‘touch drawing’, she creates 6-8 works of visual art each hour. Sitting on the floor with her drawing board in her lap, she listens deeply. With the touch of her fingertips on paper, she translates each presentation into poetic, archetypal imagery. The drawings are hung and available for viewing soon after each session. Parliament participants are invited to photograph and post any of the drawings on their social media along with their own thoughts and reflections. This serves to creatively engage participants and amplify the Parliament themes.
